Yesterday I received a link to this terrific article.
The annual meeting of the American Greyhound Track Operators Association(AGTOA) is going on now in Las Vegas.

The fact that many in the racing industry have refused to see that changes in the gaming industry spelled a demise to greyhound racing proves to me that their sole motivation was/is money.
Changes have been going on for years. Is the racing industry prepared for the day when no more dog tracks exist? Are we as a greyhound community prepared? We need to be getting together and make preparations for the inevitable. As history surely repeats itself, we cannot count on the racing industry to take care of the very dogs that have been their bread and butter for years!
Please keep your ears and eyes open to upcoming posts and the need for your help.

New Year's Resolution: Save a Life & Make a greyhound HAPPY

MAKE A GREYHOUND HAPPY THIS YEAR
Racing greyhounds are born into a terrible life. Some are lucky enough to make it this far, thanks to the efforts of volunteers along the way. But now, it's down to this: Can YOU make a difference and save a life?
Make a greyhound happy!
Our best wishes for the New Year,
The volunteers at NJGAP
